Lost Sites is a self-initiated interactive VR series that aims to recreate hidden, sacred and even lost monuments of the world. Making once-in-a-lifetime experiences accessible for everybody while digitally preserving these sites for future generations, amongst other objectives. With a first segment in mind, i created this trailer as part of a kickoff pitchdeck for the project.

Embodying the unique and mythic mood certain places hold, this trailer leads recipients into exploring a new adventure, supported by its filming style and motion design.

The typography slowly shifts into place with the camera movements, setting a highlight in these moody shots. Compiled with the filming style to lead the way, deep into the unknown.

The shoot took place during my Central America vacation, traveling through three countries within three weeks. Facing a new task, I compiled a setup to suit the desired footage look for the camera work itself.

The design process evolved with the creation of the title shot, which originally was in a movie title style. Experimenting with typography rearrangements and distortions lead to the appealing, bold design interacting with its surroundings. Topped off with the bright color to contrast the similarly toned shots.
